A bird lover has been given an Asbo, an injunction and fined after continuing to ignore attempts to stop him feeding pigeons in the city centre. A court heard John Mahoney, of St George’s Road, Hotwells, had hit, sworn at and threatened to kill a council officer who found him with three carrier bags of food in Frog Lane, near College Green.

Boy Scout builds large public bird blind
Stepping into the avian kingdom at the La Grande Marsh Wildlife Area is now almost as easy as picking up a pair of binoculars. One of the largest public bird blinds in Northeast Oregon has been built by La Grande Boy Scout John Chadwick for his Eagle project.
